Apple & Cinnamon chips 

Ingredients: 

4 Green Granny Smith Apples

1-2 tsp Cinnamon 

There are three options on how to cook your Apple and Cinnamon chips please refer below to the way you would like to cook yours.

Oven

 

Step 1

Preheat oven to 100 degrees Celsius

Step 2

Core apples and slice into approximately 1/2 cm thick

 

Step 3

Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon 

 

Step 4

Use baking paper on your cookie tray and lay out your apple slices ensuring they are not overlapping. You may need more than one tray to ensure this.

 

Step 5

Bake 2-3 hours until the chips are dry yet still soft.

Depending on your thickness of your apple slices softness may vary, cook according to personal reference of crunchyness. 

Let your Apple chips cool completely before placing them in an air tight container. They will ideally last 4-5 days. 

Dehydrator

 

Step 1

Core apples and slice into approximately 1/2 cm thick

 

Step 3

Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon 

 

Step 4

Use baking paper on your dehydrator tray and lay out your apple slices ensuring they are not overlapping.

Step 5

turn dehydrator on to 60 degrees Celsius or on medium (heat setting 2) for 4-6 hours

Depending on your thickness of your apple slices softness may vary, cook according to personal reference of crunchyness. 

Place your Apple chips in an air tight container. They will ideally last 4-5 days. 

Air Fryer

Use 1 medium green apple

1/4 tsp cinnamon 

 

Step 1

Core apples and slice into approximately 1/2 cm thick

 

Step 3

Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon 

 

Step 4

Add your sliced apples to the Airfryer basket ensuring they are not overlapping. You may need to repeat the process more than once to ensure this.

Step 5

Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes flip them over at 4 minutes

Depending on the thickness of your apple slices softness may vary, cook according to your personal reference of crunchiness. 

Place your Apple chips in an airtight container. They will ideally last 4-5 days.
